More affordable housing for Pratt City is on the way.
The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) affiliate organization Growth by NCRC was approved for more funding from the city of Birmingham to build affordable, energy-efficient homes.
The Birmingham City Council approved a resolution on Nov. 15 that allows Mayor Randall Woodfin to execute a redevelopment agreement where the city will convey 52 lots at 1430 Pratt Highway to the NCRC.
